George Gilbey announces the birth of his firstborn baby

‘Gogglebox’s George Gilbey has become a father.
The reality TV star and his girlfriend Gemma welcomed a baby girl into the world on Wednesday (15.06.16) and George is already head over heels for his newborn.
Taking to his Twitter account on Thursday (16.06.16), he wrote: "7lb 2oz little girl. Born 17.16. Amelie Iris Gilbey. Big thanks to everyone (especially nannies) for all your support (sic)."
George met Gemma at the Royal Ascot Races in 2015 and is now "delighted" to become a father.
A spokesperson for George added: "Baby Amelie and Gemma are doing well, George is delighted with the birth and can’t wait to get them both home."
Meanwhile, the funnyman – who appeared on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2014 – gushed about his love for Gemma and insisted she’s not like other girls he’s romanced in the past.
Speaking about the flood of offers he received from women when he left the ‘Big Brother’ house, he said previously: "I’ve met a lot of superficial girls who were all over me when I came out of the house. It was terrible, But Gemma was genuine.
"After we’d been seeing each other for a week, she said "it’s nice going out and all that, but can’t we just stay in together? That’s when I knew it was proper, because she wasn’t just interested in being seen with me."
