Princess Sofia wears ‘headscarf’ for Sweden’s National Day

Princess Sofia had the honour of wearing a "headscarf" in the Swedish Royal family photo for Sweden’s National Day.
The 31-year-old beauty took part in official photographs last year and wore the traditional Swedish costume known as a Sverigedräkten – which is modelled in public by women in the Royal family every year on June 6.
But there was a notable difference when she donned the outfit this time around because she had since wed Prince Carl Philip on June 13, 2015.
Sweden’s Royal Palace said in a statement: "The headscarf is only worn by married women. Unmarried women have no scarf. The headscarf is sometimes referred to as a head cloth, but more usually as a scarf."
The outfit also included a shift (or blouse) with a waist skirt, a bodice and skirt in one piece.
Meanwhile, it’s been a busy year for Sofia, who gave birth to the couple’s first child Alexander in April at Danderyd Hospital just outside of Stockholm.
The couple announced in October that they were expecting their first child together and an announcement from the Swedish Royal Court stated: "Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are delighted to announce that The Princess is expecting their first child. The birth is expected to take place in April of 2016."
The couple said: "We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child. We are very much looking forward to it."
Carl Philip, 36 and 31-year-old Sofia recently moved out of their apartment in Stockholm’s Djurgarden in order to live in in Sjöpaviljongen, a detached two-story home located on the grounds of the royal palace.
They are expected to live there for a year while renovations on their home Villa Solbacken in Djurgarden are being completed.
