Liam Hemsworth ‘needed’ Miley Cyrus split

Liam Hemsworth "needed" to split from Miley Cyrus.
The 26-year-old actor rekindled his romance with his ‘Last Song’ co-star late last year, two years after they ended their engagement, and though he admits it was "hard" to go their separate ways after four years together, the couple know it was the right thing to do.
Speaking to Australia’s GQ magazine , the ‘Hunger Games’ star said: "Of course it was hard, man. But at that time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time – we both needed that."
Though he didn’t confirm whether or not their engagement is back on, Liam doesn’t care that people know he and Miley, 23, are together again and he only ever worries about what makes him happy, rather than what people will think of his decisions.
He said: "I guess when I feel something; I just feel it and go for it. I make my decisions about what’s going to make me happy, what I think is right and what I want to do – and I don’t worry too much outside of that. People will figure it out, they already have … they’re not dumb."
The ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ actor knows people are interested in his relationship with ‘Hannah Montana’ star, but he doesn’t pay much attention to the speculation about his personal life.
He said: "I don’t read or listen to the press – and these days I don’t base my decisions on it at all. I base all my decisions on what’s happening in front of me and I’m much happier doing that."
