Kevin Parker: Playing Glastonbury is a life fulfilment

Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker made sure he’d get to play Glastonbury by doing a DJ set with Mark Ronson.
The 30-year-old frontman was "genuinely bummed" when he wasn’t playing the iconic music extravaganza held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, south west England, and is excited to be now headlining the Pyramid Stage before Adele.
Asked how it feels to be playing before the ‘Hello’ hitmaker in an interview with i:D magazine, he said: "Pretty amazing! I’ve known for two weeks and it’s just been really frustrating not being able to talk to anyone about it. We were talking about whether we were going to play Glastonbury a while ago, and it wasn’t looking good, we couldn’t get a spot on one of the stages and I was genuinely bummed. It’s always just a good excuse to go. I’m playing a DJ set with Mark Ronson the same night [that Tame Impala] are playing, and we booked that before, just as a way to get there! Actually, our first time at Glastonbury we played on the Pyramid stage, but it was like 1130 in the morning and there was no one there, we were playing to people coming out of their tents, rubbing their eyes and stuff! [This time around] it’s really going to be a life fulfilment!"
Meanwhile, Kevin has been in the studio recording music with Ronson and Lady Gaga.
The ‘Uptown Funk’ hitmaker recently shared a picture of Parker on the drums with the caption "Crash".
The posts suggest that Kevin – who previously worked with Ronson on ‘Summer Breaking’ and ‘Daffodils’, which featured on his album ‘Uptown Special’ – might be working with the superstar producer on tracks for Gaga’s eagerly-anticipated follow-up to 2013 ‘Artpop’ LP.
The pair were spotted standing over a Korg synthesiser and on the left hand side of the picture is producer BloodPop, who has worked with an array of pop stars including Grimes and Justin Bieber.
