Competitive Liam and Chris Hemsworth

Liam and Chris Hemsworth didn’t always get on.
Although the actor siblings couldn’t be closer these days, Liam, 26, has admitted that their relationship wasn’t always as good as it is now because he and Chris, 32, are both extremely stubborn.
He told American Airlines’ American Way magazine: "Chris and I have similar personalities; we are both very stubborn. It wasn’t until I started high school that we stopped arguing and fighting. But I always looked up to him. He was my best friend."
And speaking about rivalry with Chris, who beat him to the role of Thor in the Marvel franchise, Liam explained: "I know there was a competitive nature between us, but it was always a supportive one. I think it was initially just to not be stuck on our parents’ couch years down the track. We successfully got off of that due to the support of one another."
However, Chris never had the same issues with his oldest brother Luke, 35, because of their age difference.
He explained: "He was so much older than me I just wouldn’t mess with him."
Meanwhile, Liam recently said his split from Miley Cyrus "needed to happen" and he couldn’t be happier that they have now reconciled.
He said: "Of course it was hard, man. But at the time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time – we both needed that."
And speaking about their relationship now, he added: "People will figure it out, they already have… They’re not dumb.
"I guess when I feel something, then I just feel it and I go for it. I make my decisions about what’s going to make me happy, what I think is right and what I want to do – and I don’t worry too much outside of that."
