Lil Wayne and Birdman’s 10k bets

Lil’ Wayne and Birdman used to bet $10,000 on a video game – then watch the computer play for them.
According to T-Pain, the ‘Lollipop’ hitmaker and the 47-year-old rapper were big fans of NFL game ‘Madden’ and while they used to gamble huge sums of money on the title, the music producer claims the pair wouldn’t even play the game themselves after throwing down their cash.
He said: "When I used to be in the studio with Lil’ Wayne and Birdman, Lil’ Wayne and Birdman would bet money – $10,000 a game on ‘Madden’.
"They would just let the computer play each other. They would bet that a team they picked would beat the team the other guy picked. They didn’t play the game!"
T-Pain insists he didn’t get involved in such bets because he is not an "idiot".
Speaking to TMZ, he added: "I thought that was the most ballinest s**t I have ever seen in my life.
"I never got in on the bets because I’m not an idiot so I didn’t want to spend all my money. They’ve got damn near billions of dollars."
However, $10,000 is pocket change compared to some of Birdman’s other bets.
In 2011, he placed $1 million on American football team Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl that year by more than three points – and he won.
A year later, he pledged to put $5 million on the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl that year.
The Patriots lost 21-17 to the New York Giants and Birdman later claimed casinos wouldn’t take his bet.
Rapper 50 Cent had a big win on the game, though, staking $1 million on the Giants, who were the underdogs.
