Kanye West inspires Chance the Rapper

Kanye West and Chance the Rapper are working on a new collaboration.
The 39-year-old rap star and Chance recently worked together on ‘Ultralight Beam’, which features on Kanye’s album ‘The Life of Pablo’, and Chance has revealed they have also held discussions about collaborating outside of their individual solo projects.
Chance shared: "The making of my album and the making of his album were very separate but very connected, as we had a lot of discussions together.
"The main thing we want to connect on is this project called ‘Good Ass Job’ – that’s a thing that we talked about a long time ago, and I think everything that we’ve been working on has become a part of it."
Chance – whose real name is Chancelor Bennett – admitted Kanye is a true musical inspiration for him.
He revealed to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe: "We bounced ideas [off each other] in the traditional way – I literally sampled ‘Ye, y’know?’
"He’d given me all the pieces that I needed to make what I wanted to make. And so more than making a traditional project, or anything like that, he just wants to help me make the dopest s**t that I want to make."
This comes shortly after music legend Sir Paul McCartney heaped praise on Kanye following their 2015 collaboration ‘FourFiveSeconds’.
He said: "I love Kanye. People say he’s eccentric, which you’d have to agree with. He’s a monster. He’s a crazy guy that comes up with great stuff. He inspires me."
Sir Paul also defended Kanye’s use of the N-word, in light of criticism from celebrities like Oprah Winfrey.
He said: "People like Oprah, who are a little conservative about that stuff, she says, ‘You shouldn’t do it. Even black people shouldn’t use that word’.
"I said, ‘Yeah, but it’s Kanye. And he’s talking about an urban generation that uses that word in a completely different way. It’s the context.’ So I was actually pleased with it."
