The Strokes hint at new material at New York festival

The Strokes have suggested they will play new material at the New York festival Governors Ball in June.
The American rock band, who hail from New York, will star alongside Kanye West and Beck, and guitarist Albert Hammond Jr has hinted they could debut some new tunes at the event.
Asked if The Strokes will play any new songs at the festival, he wrote on Twitter: "You’ll just to have to wait and see."
His bandmate Nikolai Fraiture posted another tweet, asking: "Any song requests for Governors Ball?"
The Strokes’ most-recent album, ‘Comedown Machine’, was released in 2013 and the organisers of the Governors Ball have previously said that the promise of new material is one of the reasons they booked the band.
They said: "This would be their first batch of new tunes in about, well, half a decade. That’s kind of a big deal."
Earlier this year, meanwhile, Strokes star Nick Valensi was reunited with his trusty guitar after launching an appeal with a reward of $5,000.
The Epiphone guitar was finally returned to the star after it was misplaced while being transported from New York City to Los Angeles.
Nick’s wife Amanda de Cadanet posted a photograph of him with the 1995 Riviera model on her Instagram account confirming it was back in his hands, although it was "damaged" and without strings.
She wrote: "Mr V got his beloved guitar back . Sadly it is severely water damaged, and covered in rust , with no strings. Just maybe it can survive after some TLC. Nick wanted to thank each and every one of you who helped hunt for his guitar. #StrokesFans really are the best !! #nickvalensi #guitar (sic)"
