Celine Dion’s ski tribute to Rene

Celine Dion plans to store ski gear in her late husband René Angélil’s room.
The music producer died in January aged 73 and the 48-year-old singer has admitted she didn’t want her kids, five-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy, and 15-year-old son René-Charles, going into his room at first but has decided to use the space for storage after redecorating to "erase the sadness".
When asked if her kids go into René’s room, she replied: "At first I refused. Then I painted everything white and removed the furniture to erase the sadness.
"And when everything was like new, the twins rushed in there.
"I’m going to store the ski gear in there and family photos and Christmas cards or Father’s Day cards.
"It won’t be a museum but a room for keepsakes.
"It has a large trunk full of messages from the children."
Celine was conscious about her kids being sad following the death of her father so she has enrolled Nelson into piano lessons and Eddy into gym classes to make sure they keep having "fun".
She added to Paris Match magazine: "I was the mother hen who took care of everything, both the house and their activities, so that they would keep very busy.
"Swimming, puzzles, art and craft, finger painting – they did everything.
"Above all, I wanted them to have fun.
"Nelson wanted to learn the piano, Eddy to do gymnastics. This week I’ve enrolled them for sessions in each of these activities."
Celine paid tribute to René at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday evening (22.05.16), performing a rendition of her late husband’s favourite song, Queen hit ‘The Show Must Go On’, at the Las Vegas ceremony in her first televised performance since his death.
She broke down in tears during the ceremony when son René-Charles made a surprise appearance on stage to present her with the Icon Award.
She told the crowd at the T-Mobile Arena: "I’m so sorry. I’m sorry for crying. I want to be so strong for my family and kids.
"I don’t want to cry in front of you."
