We Are Scientists for Down To The Woods festival

We Are Scientists have been added to the line-up for Down To The Woods festival.
The ‘Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt’ indie duo join previously announced headliners Primal Scream and Chase & Status at the festival in Country Durham at the boutique weekender held on August 13 to August 14.
On Saturday (13.08.16), Primal Scream will be joined by Echo & The Bunnymen, Clean Cut Kid, The Selecter, Vant, The Jacques, Lucy Spraggan and Hayley McKay with a very special guest yet-to-be-confirmed.
And on Sunday (14.08.16), BRIT Award winners Catfish & The Bottlemen will perform alongside Kwabs, Age of L.U.N.A, Bleanavon and Hidden Charms and much more.
Elsewhere, on the ‘Foxes Folly’ stage, located near the Roman-esque secret garden – on the Saturday, The Sunshine Underground will headline and on Sunday Peter Hook & The Light will close the music extravaganza.
Catfish & The Bottlemen have had an incredible year having won the BRIT for British Breakthrough Act and feel they’ve waited a long time to be recognised.
Frontman Van McCann told BANG Showbiz: "It’s our ninth year this year so it’s weird to be getting breakthrough act in our ninth year. Any sort of recognition is awesome."
As for We Are Scientists -comprised of Keith Murray and Chris Cain – they will have plenty of new track to play on the day, having just dropped their new LP ‘Helter Seltzer’ last month.
Talking about the record and their live set, Keith said: "We’ve always made overtures towards being a pop band, but we’ve generally had the inclination to obscure those pop leanings in grit and chaos – to screw them up with fuzzed-out tones and raucous performances."
The festival is held at Hardwick Hall, County Durham with tickets on sale now from www.downtothewoodsfestival.co.uk
