Tim Healy written out of Benidorm

Tim Healy has been written out of series eight of ‘Benidorm’.
The 64-year-old actor – who plays cross-dresser Lesley in the hilarious sitcom – has been cut from the next batch of episodes after he was struck down with a mystery illness last month, which left him "fighting for his life" in hospital.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Bosses have written Tim out to give him a chance to get well. He filmed four episodes in all, which is less than half of the series."
Tim – who is engaged to Jo Anderton – had spent four weeks in hospital in Spain after he was taken ill while filming, but he made dramatic improvement last weekend and was able to be airlifted back to the UK in order to continue his treatment.
The actor’s ex-wife Denise Welch, 57, gave an update on his condition on Monday (16.05.16) after she jetted out to Costa Blanca last week to be at his bedside.
Taking to her Twitter account, she tweeted: "Thank you guys. Jo has been with Tim throughout. He is now safely back on home turd and on the mend & that’s all I’ll be saying xxx (sic)"
Meanwhile, details on how Tim’s alter-ego will be temporarily written out of the show are yet to be revealed but the cast will continue to shoot the eighth series, with the view that the next installment of the comedy will hit screens next year.
