Noel Gallagher: I’ll reform Oasis for £20m

Noel Gallagher would reunite Oasis for one concert for £20 million.
The 48-year-old guitarist would only be willing to put aside his feud with younger brother Liam Gallagher and reform the band if he was offered the mega sum of money.
The Daily Star newspaper quotes Noel as saying: "I’d do it for £20 million for one gig – that is good money isn’t it? But I have never had that offer from anyone yet."
Noel quit the group in August 2009 after a massive bust-up with Liam, 43, which ended with the wild singer taking a swing at his sibling’s head with his guitar backstage before a show in Paris.
Despite fans being desperate to see the brothers make up, Noel has always dashed hopes of an Oasis return, claiming there is about a "one per cent" chance of a reunion as he doesn’t need the money.
Asked if they will ever reform, Noel previously said: "Oh one, there’s a one per cent chance it might happen, but I don’t think so.
"There would have to be extraordinary circumstances, cause I wouldn’t do it artistically, I don’t need the money, I don’t need the record sales. I can’t think of a reason that I would look to do that. What would be the point? I don’t know. I don’t see what the point would be."
Noel has released two successful solo albums under the moniker Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and although he’ll never totally rule out the possibility of teaming up with Liam again he says it’s very unlikely as the frontman is still too volatile and he’s busy with his own music.
The ‘Wonderwall’ songwriter – who is currently recording his third solo LP – said: "Liam is a very angry man still. So he is not cool. He tends to make the easiest things really difficult.
"There might come a day, one day, where it [Oasis reunion] might seem like a good idea, but I have so much I want to do on my own that I don’t really see it to be honest."
