Ross Kemp to make second return to EastEnders

Ross Kemp will make a second return to ‘EastEnders’ this summer when his bad boy character has a saucy tryst.
The 51-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as Grant Mitchell in the soap next week when he rushes to Albert Square to be at his dying mother Peggy Mitchell’s (Dame Barbara Windsor) bedside when she takes her final breath.
But the talented star has teased it won’t be the last time fans see his hardman alter-ego striding around Walford as he’ll also return a few weeks later for a steamy sex session.
Careful not to give away too much, he teased: "There’ll be some violence with tears thrown in and I have a little bit of sex as well. What else do you want? He’s a wild rover."
Grant’s return will certainly be one to remember as not only will he be grief-stricken but he’ll also discover he has a son named Mark – who’s now aged 20 – following his one-night stand with Michelle Fowler (Susan Tully) back in 1995.
He’ll also no doubt break hearts as he struggles to hide his feelings for his ex-girlfriend Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) – the estranged wife of his brother Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) – and the pair end up locking lips.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Ross said: "They [Grant and Sharon] get very close, there is nearly a kiss"
Meanwhile, Ross – who left the programme in order to focus on hard-hitting documentaries – agreed to return to the long-running soap after Dame Barbara reached out to him last year and asked him to be apart of her alter-ego’s exit scene.
And, despite his long break, he was pleasantly surprised by how quickly he managed to slip back into his character.
He said: "Going back on the set was like switching on a light. I fell asleep in the dressing room, woke up and went, ‘Have the last 12 years making documentaries been a dream?’ "
