Steve Carell mourns mother

Steve Carell’s mother has died.
The ‘Office’ actor is in mourning for Harriet T. Carell, who passed away on Saturday (07.05.16) at the age of 90.
Steve announced the sad news on his Twitter page on Mother’s Day on Sunday (08.05.16).
He wrote: "Harriet Theresa Carell. October 15, 1925- May 7, 2016. Love You Mom"
Harriet – who has four sons and six grandchildren – died peacefully at home in Acton, Massachusetts surrounded by her loved ones, Acton Funeral Home Director Kathleen Doran Boyle has said.
Details of her funeral service and burial will be announced at a later date.
Steve – who has children Elisabeth, 15, and John, 12, with wife Nancy – previously spoke of how much he looks up to his "kind and smart" mother and father Edwin.
He said: "My parents are very down to earth, kind, smart, generous people. They both grew up during the great depression and had a true sense of value: for possessions, for family, for each other."
And the ‘Despicable Me 2’ actor admitted they have always been incredibly proud of his career and even give out pictures of him to people they meet – whether they want them or not.
He said: "My family can’t believe what I do for a living and they enjoy it. I think they’re astounded.
"My parents called me the other day from Florida, where they live for half the year, and they said, ‘Could you send us some more headshots?’
"I think they give a signed headshot of me to anyone who asks … or anyone who doesn’t ask. They go to a doctor and they’ll say: ‘Would you like a picture of my son?’
"They’re so proud and they’re really sweet and my brothers are too."
