Neighbours’ Stefan Dennis pays tribute to show’s creator Reg Grundy

Neighbours’ Stefan Dennis feels his life has been "rocked" after hearing the show’s creator Reg Grundy had died.
The 57-year-old actor – who is known for playing Paul Robinson in the long-running Australian soap – is devastated his friend passed away yesterday (08.05.16) aged 92.
Speaking to Australia’s Guardian newspaper, Stefan said: "Hearing of the passing of Reg has genuinely rocked my world because not only was he my boss but an inspiration, proving anything can be achieved if you believe in yourself. Reg was a tough businessman who was loved by many."
And Stefan isn’t the only member of the cast who has been shaken by the tragic news as Alan Fletcher – who portrays womaniser Dr Karl Kennedy – believes the world has lost a giant of the industry following Reg’s heartbreaking death.
He said: "His passion and vision brought the world entertainment of the highest standard for many decades."
Jackie Woodburn – who plays Susan Kennedy – has nothing but praise for Reg as she believes she wouldn’t have carved out such a successful career in television if it wasn’t for him.
She added: "Reg was a true groundbreaker in Australian television in the 70s and 80s, and beyond in light entertainment and drama. Shows like ‘Young Doctors’, where I cut my teeth, were a pivotal part of Australian TV. Above all he was just a lovely man and he will be missed."
