Chris Evans’ role as Captain America is the ‘best decision’ in life

Chris Evans’ "best decision" was accepting the role as Captain America.
The 34-year-old actor, who has reprised his superhero role in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, has admitted starring in the Marvel Comic sequels has been the most life changing experience, although he was initially scared to take the role when he was first offered the part.
Speaking to InStyle online about his iconic role, the American heartthrob said: "When I first got the offer to be a part of this franchise, the thought of a multi-picture contract that could last eight years of my life was stressful and scary. But doing these movies was the best decision of my life.
"The directors, the Russo brothers, have a way of making it feel extremely relatable and real amid flashes of superhero fanfare."
Chris has revealed he doesn’t take his success for granted and remains grounded when he attends awards ceremonies, although his showbiz lifestyle has had a positive impact on him.
Talking about the film industry, he explained: "I grew up watching the Oscars, so being there makes me appreciate how far I’ve come.
"I can’t deny that it’s [the film industry] had an effect, but I think it’s a positive one. Instead of trying to figure out how to play the game, I’ve come to realize that it’s more important to remind myself that I don’t have to win today and I don’t actually have to play at all. Obstacles and hurdles are man-made. I won’t say it’s not useful to self-reflect, but I realize the part of you that’s fuelling the self-reflections actually more akin to your ego than to the situation you’re in.
Meanwhile, Chris is set to star in the drama movie ‘Gifted’ alongside Jenny Slate and Octavia Spencer, which follows a man and his mother’s battle over the custody of his niece.
