Kristen Stewart supports Jodie Foster at star unveiling

Kristen Stewart supported Jodie Foster as her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was unveiled on Wednesday (04.05.16).
The pair have remained close ever since Kristen, 26, played 53-year-old Jodie’s daughter in the 2002 movie ‘Panic Room’ and Kristen introduced Jodie with a moving speech in which she spoke of Jodie’s caring nature and her influence on Kristen.
She said: "She was my first adult friend that was mine and of all the examples I could have had of an actress and a female artist and the figurehead of a production, I had her.
"Jodie’s much cooler than me but it’s so amazing when you find your people, the ones outside your family, that feed you in this affirming and motivating way. And for my 11th birthday party she hired a mariachi band, so thank you for that.
"She’s a baller on every level, it’s out of control. The fact that I can be here for you today Jodie is moving beyond a level you can probably understand."
Meanwhile, Jodie will release her fourth movie as a director, ‘Money Monster’, later this month and revealed she chose to wait to receive her star for her directing success rather than acting.
She told Variety: "I grew up blocks from Hollywood Boulevard and would cross it every single day of my life. And you do that thing where you’re like, ‘Will I ever be on the Walk of Fame someday?’
"I made this conscious decision that I didn’t want to have a star on Hollywood Boulevard unless it was in a conjunction with a movie I was directing. I don’t know why that was important to me; it seems silly, but that’s why I waited all these years.
"I’ve had a long career; it’s been 50 years and I’ve had to take breaks and had moments where I burned out a little bit and had to find my love for it again. I’m always amazed – you can be sort of blasé, and then you come back and get excited about something and discover it all again. I’ve learned that the meaningfulness comes from the actor. It’s your investment, it’s up to you to really take the material and make it deeper. That’s always challenging.
"The one thing about acting that’s true is it’s either too challenging for one human being to have to do or it’s just too boring for one human to have to endure."
