Demi Lovato praises Kesha

Demi Lovato has praised Kesha for going public with her claims that producer Dr Luke "sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally" abused her.
The 23-year-old singer has been one of Kesha’s most vocal supporters since the ‘Tik Tok’ hitmaker went public with her allegations and Demi thinks Kesha has been "extremely brave" in speaking out about her ordeal.
Commenting on the court ruling which states that Kesha can’t be released from her Sony contract with her alleged perpetrator, Demi told Latina magazine: "I thought it was extremely brave of a pop star in the industry to come out and talk about that. I do believe it’s very f****d up that he’s not letting her go, aside from all of the other stuff. I think women artists shouldn’t compete – we have to support each other."
Demi previously tweeted her support, saying: "Frustrating to see women come forward with their past only to be shot down, not believed & disrespected for their bravery in taking action (sic)."
The verdict sparked an outpouring of support for Kesha from stars including Lady Gaga, Adele and Lily Allen, while Taylor Swift donated $250,000 to the star.
Dr Luke has always denied the allegations against him.
