The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan to rock Desert Trip mega festival

The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Sir Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who are to play mega festival Desert Trip this year.
The six legendary acts will appear on the same bill for the first time ever at the event being held by the organisers behind Coachella.
The festival will take place after sunset at Indio, California’s Empire Polo Club from October 7 until October 9.
The three night music extravaganza kicks off on Friday October 7 with The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan and His Band, followed the next night (08.10.16) by McCartney and Neil Young + Promise of the Real, with the concerts being closed by former Pink Floyd star Roger Waters and The Who on October 9.
Speaking previously about the once-in-a-lifetime festival, The Who singer Roger Daltrey insisted it will be an historic event as it could be the last chance for fans to see that era of musicians perform live.
The ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’ rocker said: "We have to face it, we are (at) the end of an era. We’re the last of our generation. You can see from reading the obituaries lately that we [rock stars] don’t make old bones very well, do we?
"I just hope a lot of normal fans can get tickets before they get snatched up."
Reserved seats and general admission passes go on sale next Monday (09.05.16) at 10am Pacific Time at DesertTrip.com and three-day general admission passes cost $399 each.

Desert Trip ticket prices:

Three-day passes:
General admission – $399
Reserved floor – $699, $999, $1,599
Reserved grandstand – $999, $1599
Standing pit – $1,599
