Chris Daughtry’s superhero dream

Chris Daughtry’s "ultimate dream" is to play a movie superhero.
The Daughtry rocker has ventured into acting and, as a huge comic book fan, he’d love to don a special suit and save the world on the big screen.
Asked if he wants to be in a comic book movie, he said: "That would be the ultimate dream, put on the suit and be a hero but I just love acting so I’m interested in all roles."
But the 36-year-old star thinks he has a long way to go to match Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ as he thinks the 42-year-old actor is the "best" Caped Crusader he’s ever seen.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I’ve seen the movie four times. It was a little puzzling on the first watch, the second time I liked it way more and by the third time I had fallen in love with it. Affleck is hands down the best on screen Batman I’ve ever seen."
One of the singer’s biggest dreams came true recently whens he designed a cover for a special ‘Batman’ variant comic book cover.
He said: "I wanted to be a comic book artist since I was five years old. Really cool to have a childhood dream come true. And it was with Jim Leigh and it was for Batman the character I love."
Daughtry’s greatest hits, ‘It’s Not Over…The Hits So Far’, is out now, while they tour the UK next month.

Daughtry’s UK tour dates:
May 21, Birmingham, O2 Academy

May 22, Manchester, Academy

Mar 24, Glasgow, O2 ABC

May 25, Glasgow, O2 ABC

May 27, London, Eventim Apollo
