Susan Boyle’s airport outburst result of Asperger’s Syndrome

Susan Boyle’s outburst at Heathrow Airport in London on Monday (25.04.16) was a "characteristic" of her Asperger’s Syndrome.
The 55-year-old singer was escorted out of the British Airways lounge after getting involved in an argument with a member of staff before she was due to board a flight to Scotland.
Police were called to the lounge in Terminal 5 following a report of a woman in distress but she was allowed to get on her flight and go home to Blackburn, West Lothian.
A spokesperson for the former ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star has now revealed Susan acted the way she did because of her Asperger’s Syndrome – a form of autism which she was diagnosed with in 2013.
The spokesperson said: "The incident at Heathrow occurred because of Susan’s well-documented Asperger Syndrome. It is a lifelong condition and one of the many characteristics is outbursts. "She continues to enjoy her music career. That is very important to her and brings happiness to her life whilst trying to balance the many challenges that Asperger’s brings."
Susan has previously spoken of her relief at getting diagnosed with Asperger’s because it has helped her understand her the "acute anxiety" and "emotional outbursts" that have always been part of her life.
She said: "It’s a very difficult subject to talk about because you always feel that eyes are on you, and people view you as different. I like to see myself as someone with a problem, but one I can solve. It is definitely getting better."
Susan – who earlier this month was seen shouting for help at Derry Airport – is to spend the rest of the year recording her new album.
A source said: "She’s got lots of great things planned for this year and will start recording her seventh album next month. She’s in a great place, with people who love and care about her looking out for her back home."
