Line of Duty’s Craig Parkinson doesn’t own TV

‘Line of Duty’s Craig Parkinson doesn’t own a television.
The 40-year-old actor hasn’t had a box set for almost a decade because he refuses to watch himself on screen in case he accidentally slips up or fluffs his lines.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ today (28.04.16) , he said: "I can’t watch it, I’m a terrible audience member. I always think, ‘I messed up that line there. That’s when we cracked up on set.’ I haven’t had a telly for nine years. I just don’t watch it."
The talented star is known for portraying DI Matt ‘Dot’ Cottan in the award-winning BBC2 police drama and he has admitted he’s taken the role so seriously that he’s even started to cook, like his alter-ego, in order to perfect scenes.
He explained "Well it says in the script that Dot cooks some chili to woo Kate so I did. I’m not bad [at cooking], I’m alright, yeah. Maybe Dot will release a cook book!"
Meanwhile, the third series of the police drama is set to come to an end tonight (28.04.16) and, although he won’t shed any light on what the future holds for the show, he has admitted the programme will be back for another series next year.
He said: "All I can say is series three and four were commissioned at the same time at the end of series two."
