Demi Lovato is allergic to hairless pussies.
The ‘Heart Attack’ hitmaker already knew she couldn’t go near regular cats without having an allergy attack so thought coming face-to-face with a fur-less feline wouldn’t affect her – but she has been left "bummed" after finding out she cannot go anywhere near smooth cats either.
A devastated Demi wrote on Twitter: "I honestly thought I wouldn’t be allergic to a hairless cat … I’m so bummed (sic)"
Hairless cat breeds include Sphinx, Bambino and Donskoy among others.
Demi has previously revealed she cannot be within 10 feet of a pussy without "freaking out".
She said: "I’m not allergic to all animals, just cats and dogs. Sometimes I’ll have a bad allergic reaction to dogs, sometimes I won’t.
"But cats, if I am 10 feet away from them, I’ll be freaking out."
As a result of her pussy problem, Demi is able to tell if someone has a four-legged friend as soon as she enters their house."
She added: "I’ll be in the room with someone and have an allergy attack and be like, ‘Do you have a cat?’ and they’ll say, ‘Yeah, how’d you know?’ "
But it’s not just cats and dogs Demi is allergic to as she could also have an attack if she gets up too close and personal with pine trees, or even egg salad.
Speaking about filming a scene of US sitcom ‘Sonny with a Chance’ in 2009 when she had egg salad thrown at her, she said: "I actually had an allergic reaction the day we shot that!
"I had to go home early because they couldn’t just cover me up with makeup since I was red and itchy! I guess I was allergic to something in egg salad! But it was actually really funny and amusing."
Despite being allergic to dogs, Demi and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama had a pet pooch, Spawn, who sadly died last year, and afterwards the 23-year-old star revealed she had to take anti-allergy medicine every time the canine kissed her.
She wrote on Instagram: "I miss you so much already beautiful boy. When I first met you 6 years ago, I was intimidated by your size and your strong presence.. But as I got to know you, I learned you were just one big teddy bear. One handsome teddy bear that’s for sure. I’m going to miss the way you greeted me at my car every time I came home or simply when I stepped outside. I’m going to miss the way you were so protective of Buddy and Batman and never got annoyed with them when they were excited hyper puppies. I’m going to miss the way you would nudge at my hand if I wasn’t petting you. I’ll even miss the way I’d need a Benadryl every time you’d give me kisses just like the way you’re giving me kisses in this very picture. All the sneezes, the runny noses, even the occasional hives.. They were all worth it with you. Saying goodbye absolutely broke my heart and I felt as if I was saying farewell to a family member. The only thing that brings me comfort in this situation is knowing that Buddy is probably really happy he now gets to play with his big brother in Heaven.. We love you so much Spawn.. We miss you so much and we will never ever EVER forget you. RIP baby boy. (sic)"
