Blonde thrilled to share studio with Craig David

Blonde were thrilled to share studio with one of their music heroes Craig David.
The deep house production duo – Adam Englefield and Jacob Manson – collaborated with the ‘Seven Days’ hitmaker for their new single ‘Nothing Like This’ and admit they were delighted when they discovered he wanted to lay down the track in an old school fashion and not via the Internet on laptops.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Blonde said: "We’ve been fans (of Craig David) since the ‘Born To Do It’ days, I can’t explain how excited we were when we found out we’d be getting in the studio together!"
Blonde – who have already had two UK top 10 hits with ‘I Loved You’ and All Cried Out’ – hope artists they collaborate in the future with also take 34-year-old Craig’s lead and work with them in person.
Blonde said: "It’s always a better vibe if we can all get in the studio together but sometimes, in the modern world it just isn’t possible. We still love to work in real-life where possible though!"
And the guys say they learned so much the garage star, and above anything else they drew inspiration from his "positive" attitude.
Blonde explained: "Positivity is key. Craig is such a positive person and it really rubs off on everyone around him. I think we’ve taken a lot from that."
Last month, Blonde played their first London Roundhouse show for NCS: YesLive with Tinie Tempah and Izzy Bizu.
The duo also have the seal of approval from Martin Solveig who has added them to two dates of his upcoming ‘My House Tour’ – playing the O2 Academy in Leeds on April 29 followed by a gig at the Guild of Students at Liverpool University on April 30.
Blonde round off their tour with two festival dates; playing CT1 Festival in Canterbury on May 1st and the El Dorado Festival in Ledbury on July 2.
