Axl Rose joins AC/DC

Axl Rose is joining AC/DC.
The Guns N’ Roses frontman will replace Brian Johnson on the remaining dates of the band’s tour after Brian was told by doctors last month to "stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss".
The band said in a statement: "AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band over the years. As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we support Brian’s decision to save his hearing.
"We are dedicated to fulfilling our touring commitments to all that have supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfill this commitment."
The band have 12 European dates booked in for May and June and Axl – who headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with Guns N’ Roses this weekend – will then return to the US to join his own band for their ‘Not In This Lifetime’ North American tour.
Last month AC/DC announced that they were rescheduling 10 shows on their ‘Rock or Bust’ world tour after Brian was forced to pull out.
In a statement on their website, the band said: "AC/DC are forced to reschedule the 10 upcoming dates on the U.S. leg of their ‘Rock or Bust’ World Tour. AC/DC’s lead singer, Brian Johnson, has been advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss."
AC/DC have had a number of issues in recent years with founding member Malcolm Young, unable to continue with the band due to suffering from dementia, and ex-drummer Phil Rudd given an eight-month home detention sentence for drug possession and making threats to kill last year.
