Idris Elba’s perfect day off is spent with his children.
The ‘Beasts Of No Nation’ star – who has daughter Isan, 14, and two-year-old son Winston from previous relationships – loves watching his kids grow up and develop their own unique personalities.
He told PEOPLE magazine: "I love hanging out with my kids doing something completely unexpected and just having some fun. And then we’ll go home, grab something to eat, we’ll watch a film, my son will fall asleep, my daughter and I stay up and watch another film.
"I love the magic of watching their personalities form uniquely to them. And watching them form on things that you and their mum have taught them and things they remember, that is really truly human magic."
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old actor and musician insists he is "not into the whole fame thing" and would rather focus on bringing up his kids and making them happy.
He said: "I’m not into the whole fame thing. I don’t have celebrity friends. I have the same ones I had from when I was a kid and for me, it’s about my family.
"I would like to my entire family happy and secure. That’s a lifelong dream of mind: to make them happy."
