Gemma Atkinson spent her first date with Cristiano Ronaldo drinking tea and watching ‘Only Fools And Horses’.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who briefly dated the Real Madrid player seven years ago after meeting him at a party – may have been romancing one of the best footballers in the world but she has admitted he wasn’t interested in pulling out all the stops to try and woo her on their first meeting.
Speaking on radio station Key 103, she said of their first date: "We just went to my house and drank cups of tea and watched ‘Only Fools And Horses’. Genuinely. I don’t know if he’s into it now, but it was on the telly. ‘Only Fools And Horses’ and cups of tea, he seemed to enjoy it then but I’m going back about six or seven years now."
Meanwhile, although her relationship with the athlete didn’t work out in the end, the 31-year-old star is now dating personal trainer and former rugby player Olly Foster.
The couple have only been romancing for two years but they’re already thinking ahead to the future and are hoping to have their first child together within the next year or so.
Gemma said earlier this year: "I always said I’d have a baby at 32 – my mum had me at 32 – so hopefully we’ll do that in a few years if God allows it."
