Underworld: Blood Wars is title of fifth film in franchise

‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ has been revealed as the title of the fifth instalment in the ‘Underworld’ franchise.
Kate Beckinsale returns as the Vampire death dealer Selene in the new horror/action movie, which is centred on the interminable war between Vampires and Lycans, aka werewolves.
Filmed in Prague, the latest movie features the return of Charles Dance as the vampire elder Thomas, alongside Theo James as Thomas’ son and Selene’s ally David.
Among the new faces in the film will be Tobias Menzies who will play "formidable new Lycan leader" Marius and Sherlock’s Lara Pulver as a "fiercely ambitious vampire".
‘Game of Thrones’ star James Faulkner, Peter Andersson from ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, Bradley James from TV series ‘Damien’, ‘Fallen’ star Daisy Head and up and coming actress Clementine Nicholson also star.
‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ is directed by Anna Foerster, from a screenplay by ‘The Last Witch Hunter’ writer Cory Goodman. Anna also directed episodes of ‘Outlander’.
Details about the plot and the film’s official release date have been kept underwraps and ‘Underworld’ fans will be delighted to know that Les Wiseman – who directed the first two films and is Beckinsale’s ex-husband – is currently developing an ‘Underworld’ TV series.
