The 19-year-old model – the younger sister of Gigi Hadid – caused a stir on Instagram this week when she uploaded a photo of herself wearing nothing but an all-black thong accessorised with Maison Close’s jet pearls harness, as she clutched at her bare breasts in the raunchy shoot.
Anticipating a backlash from her mother Yolanda Hadid, the brunette beauty – who signed to IMG Models in 2014, three years after her 20-year-old sister – captioned the shot: "Sorry mama. Secret project with my dream team @nomadrjand @elizabethsulcer #BTS (sic)"
Bella channelled her inner dominatrix, although the body chain, which is a popular garment in the lingerie brand’s Romantiques collection that retails at €69.90 online, is iconic to the 1920s trend and saw women layer multiple necklaces.
However, Bella is not the first celebrity to undress for the French label, which boasts a celebrity clientele that includes Cara Delevingne, ‘Work’ hitmaker Rihanna and Kate Moss – the brand’s first brave muse.
Bella – who is a natural blonde – has admitted she dyed her hair to avoid causing confusion in the modelling industry between her and Gigi, 20.
Speaking previously to WWD, she said: "I think because my sister and I are so close, it’s nice to have the change [of hair colour]."
However, the American beauty is not averse to experimenting with various other hair colours.
She said: "When I was younger, I dyed my hair blue. I love showing my style through my hair. When I was younger, I cut it and dyed it and it just stuck for a while."
