Sophie Turner cannot imagine dating someone who doesn’t work in the entertainment industry.
The 20-year-old actress, who is best known for her starring role on the popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones’, has only had one romantic relationship in her life, with The Vamps guitarist James McVey, and she thinks it is easier to be with someone who understands the stresses and strains of fame.
She shared: "The only relationship I have had was with someone who was in the industry, and I think if I dated someone who wasn’t, the difference would inhibit the relationship, just because you’re constantly travelling."
Sophie said she can empathise with other famous people and also admitted to being concerned that men may be interested in her purely because of her public profile.
She told the Sunday Times newspaper: "You never really know if people like you for you. Someone who has been in that situation themselves understands. I suppose you find a way to work things out."
Sophie said she finds it "funny" when men approach her because they already know who she is, despite having never met her.
The actress reflected: "Most of them know what I do and you never know where they’re coming from. It’s difficult."
