Libertines pair Pete Doherty and Carl Barat are to buy their own bar.
The band members are reportedly planning to purchase a space in Nottingham, central England, and call it the Albion Rooms, plus they want to turn the upstairs flat in the property into a music studio where they can work on new material in a "relaxed environment".
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Pete and Carl want somewhere of their own where they can hang out and make music in a relaxed environment.
"They want a social atmosphere so they can work on music when they’re at their most creative."
This comes just days after Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell compared the pair to British TV soap legends Phil and Grant Mitchell, who are characters in ‘EastEnders’ and have both been landlord of the programme’s fictional pub, the Queen Vic, at some stage.
Pete – who is a recovering drug addict – sparked fears last September when he went missing and didn’t turn up for the group’s gig in Camden Town, London.
The indie rockers had to cancel the show and rumours spread online that Pete had locked himself in a Wetherspoons pub toilet, but they later issued a statement to say he was "safe".
