Backstreet Boys’ ‘trial run’ for Las Vegas residency

Backstreet Boys have a trial for a Las Vegas residency.
Singer Nick Carter says the boy band – also including A. J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell – have signed a deal with Live Nation, which will see them have a "test run" of nine shows in ‘Sin City’ before committing to a permanent concert run.
Nick, 36, revealed: "We have a deal with Live Nation, which is the touring company, and we just signed a nine-show deal to do sort of like a test run in Vegas with the residency. So that’s definitely going to happen, but we’re going to do a trial run first."
And if they land the residency the hunky pop star says it will be a "spectacular show" of all their biggest hits such as ‘Everybody’ and ‘I Want That Way’.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "It would definitely have to be a very big and spectacular show. Thankfully, we have a good catalogue so we can perform all of our hits. That could take up a lot of the show."
Meanwhile, Nick’s bandmate Kevin, 44, confirmed the ‘Incomplete’ hitmakers are working on a new album, which will be their first since 2013’s ‘In a World Like This’.
He added: "We’re definitely in the studio, recording a brand-new album. We’re gonna do a world tour first."
