Last Shadow Puppets’ sound search

The Last Shadow Puppets "searched hard" to find a new sound for their album.
The supergroup – consisting of Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner, Miles Kane and Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford – came to realise that they didn’t need to find a new vibe and that their musicianship was key to their eagerly-anticipated LP ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on his Apple Beats 1 Radio Show, guitarist Miles, 30, revealed: "We searched for a while when we were writing it, we thought do we need to make this something completely different to the first record. We were maybe looking for a new thing and maybe we looked too hard and then we realised it was the thing of me and Al working together and writing the songs that is the thing of it really."
Alex previously revealed that they never expected to make a full second album, a follow up to 2008’s ‘The Age of the Understatement’.
He said: "When asked about it, we always thought that somewhere in the future we’d ride again, but I dunno if we expected it to actually. There wasn’t actually a plan to any of it."
‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’ is released on Friday April 1.
