John Boyega wants R2-D2 animated movie

John Boyega would love to see a ‘Star Wars’ spin-off film about R2-DR.
The 24-year-old actor made his debut in the sci-fi franchise in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ as Finn and he would like Disney to make a film entirely about the astromech droid, who has appeared in every instalment in the franchise.
If such a film were to be made, John would like it to be entirely animated with no human actors in it.
Asked if there are any characters he’d like to explore further from the film, he told website Metro.co.uk: "Of course there are. An R2-D2 spin-off just about the droids. I don’t want to see any human beings in it and it could be animated."
And he said he’d like to play the role of BB-8’s cousin.
He added: "I personally would like to play BB-8’s older cousin BB-Z the G. I am so going to make that happen for you guys."
Disney currently has plans for two more spin-off films after ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ comes out this year, including a movie focused on a young Han Solo – something Jon isn’t sure about after working with the original space smuggler Harrison Ford on ‘The Force Awakens’.
He previously said: "Is that real? They’re doing a Han Solo standalone film? I don’t know … I mean it’s strange for me to even imagine it. I mean I’m going to go see it, whoever it is man. I’ll go with Harrison’s reaction."
