Little Mix: We hit ‘rock bottom’ during songwriting process

Little Mix hit "rock bottom" when they were writing their album.
The ‘Black Magic’ hitmakers – which includes Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall – admit the writing process for their latest LP ‘Get Weird’ left them in tears.
Jesy told Cosmopolitan magazine: "We got stuck in a rut. The album wasn’t good enough. It took us a year, locked in a tiny room, to write it. It was horrid, we cried so much.
"There was one song we wrote seven different choruses for and it still wasn’t right. Leigh-Anne is the most positive person in the group and even she was getting down. We hit rock bottom."
However, the group love going on tour and previously revealed they feel "liberated" wearing sexy outfits on stage.
Jade said: "We love our leotards. One, they are comfy to dance in. Two, we are sweating our t*ts off so it is a lot cooler wearing a leotard. And three, if a bloke gets his top off on stage, everyone praises him and shouts, ‘Yay, they’ve got their top off.’ Then as soon as we come on and we’re in our leotards, all of a sudden there’s an issue with getting your thighs out. It is liberating. We wear what we want to wear and we are still true to ourselves."
