Jeremy Renner wants a Hawkeye Netflix series

Jeremy Renner would like to bring Marvel’s Hawkeye to Netflix.
The 45-year-old actor has played the superhero, also known as Clint Barton, in three films and reprises the role for a fourth time in the upcoming movie ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and he thinks the character would be perfect to be the focus of a series on the paid-for streaming service.
Renner would relish the chance to "explore" Hawkeye away from The Avengers who he shares the big screen with.
Speaking at the Silicon Valley Comic Con at the San Jose Convention Centre at the weekend, he said: "I think that Netflix is actually a really great model, if there’s ever a way to explore the character, maybe it’s in that (the Marvel Cinematic Universe) world. "These are things that are really not in my control, but I’d be open to it. I’ve really enjoyed getting to explore the character more recently.
"The Netflix model is where all the character drama goes to now. You’re doing a superhero movie or a Netflix or HBO kind of model. So I’d be open to it. Not up to me, though."
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is represented on Netflix already with
‘Daredevil’ and ‘Jessica Jones’ having already aired on the platform and ‘Luke Cage’ and ‘Iron Fist’ to be available on the streaming service in the coming months.
All the shows are leading up to a ‘Marvel’s The Defenders’ crossover mini-series.
