Emma Bunton wants Spice Girls anniversary gig

Emma Bunton wants to mark the Spice Girls’ 20th anniversary with a gig at Wembley Stadium.
The group reach the milestone later this year and the 40-year old singer hopes there will be a one-off celebration, but admits it is difficult to ensure she and former bandmates Mel B, Mel C, Victoria Beckham and Geri Horner are free at the same time.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper she said of a one-off gig at Wembley: "Wouldn’t that be amazing?
"Fingers crossed. That’s something we’d really love to do.
"We adore each other. There’s so much we’ve been through. I would love to do something.
"I think we’d all quite like to do something, but it really is figuring it out. We all have such different lives. Mel B lives in America. We’ve all got different managers."
Since going their separate ways, Victoria has been hugely successful as a fashion designer and Emma couldn’t be more proud of her pal.
She said: "When a friend does that well, it’s incredible. She’s just hilarious and I know exactly what she’s thinking just by looking at her,
"I see pictures and I go, ‘I know what she’s thinking about!’ I’m very lucky because I know the fun, sarcastic, brilliant other side to her as well."
The group were famous for their ‘Girl Power’ message and Emma – who has sons Beau, eight, and Tate, four, with fiance Jade Jones – is still following the mantra as she takes inspiration from her mother Pauline.
She said: "For me, it started with seeing my mum going back to college at 40, starting karate at 40. She just kept growing and I’ve really fed off that.
"I want to grow as much as she did and still is. She was my first role model. Jade is brilliant, it’s just we [girls] have had to push a bit harder. As girls we’ve pushed things forward."
