Ellie Goulding ‘is open to reuniting with Dougie Poynter’

Ellie Goulding hasn’t ruled out another reunion with Dougie Poynter.
The ‘Starry Eyed’ singer recently split from the McFly bassist, just a few weeks after they got back together, and though she wants to be single and "get her head sorted" for the forseeable future, friends admit the pair could get back together again eventually.
A source said: "Ellie hasn’t ruled out a reunion with Dougie, but for now she needs some space to work out what she wants.
"Their relationship became so toxic, it was damaging for both of them so she just wants to be single for now and get her head sorted."
The 29-year-old star and the 28-year-old musician parted ways following a series of explosive rows as they struggled to find any time to be together.
The source explained to Closer magazine: "Ellie’s hectic schedule put a huge amount of pressure on their relationship and Dougie became resentful, which caused a lot of tension and rows between them.
"Dougie has been trying to carve out an acting career in LA too, so it was hard for them to spend time together.
"The rows escalated over the past few weeks and became so bad, Ellie had no choice but to end the relationship – despite the decision leaving her heartbroken and an emotional wreck."
