Adele to headline Glastonbury

Adele has announced she is headlining Glastonbury Festival 2016.
The 27-year-old singer will top the bill on Saturday at the world famous music extravaganza held in June in Somerset, South West England, and will join the previously confirmed headliners Muse – who will play on the Pyramid stage on Friday night – and Coldplay, who will close on Sunday.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker made the announcement on stage at her London O2 Arena concert on Friday (18.03.16).
She said: "I wanted to do it last year but my record wasn’t ready. And to the people who say I am too boring to headline, you’re more f**king boring for moaning about me headlining."
Adele’s decision to perform comes after she promised herself she would never play at the festival because of her fear of the huge crowds.
She declared: "I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury. The crowds are too big – I don’t know if I could do it."
However, her comments didn’t stop festival organiser Emily Eavis from inviting her to perform.
Probed on whether the singer could headline Glastonbury, she replied: "She would, wouldn’t she? It would be great to get her. We love Adele."
Meanwhile, the news might not surprise everyone, since Emily previously revealed this year’s Glastonbury headliners are all British.
The 36-year-old booker said: "We’ve got three brilliant British bands headlining the festival, although I haven’t actually told anyone that yet."
