Calvin Harris headlines Wireless Festival


Calvin Harris is to headline Wireless Festival this year.

The ‘Summer’ hitmaker will close the first night of the three-day annual music event, which is held at Finsbury Park, London over the weekend of July 8 to July 10.

The music extravaganza, which made its debut in 2005, will also see Chase and Status headline the second night of the festival.

Of their slot, the electronic duo – comprised of Saul Milton and Will Kennard – said: "We have an epic show lined up for Wireless 2016, which we’ve been planning in secret for the last couple of months.

"It’s an honour to be performing in our hometown alongside some of the most exciting names in music and we’re looking forward to dropping one of our best sets yet."

R&B rapper J. Cole is also to perform on the Saturday and Norwegian ‘Firestone’ DJ Kygo and Boy Better Know will draw a close to weekend of live music on Sunday July 10.

Other acts to join the Grammy-award-winning Scottish DJ are Jeremih, Jess Glynne, The 1975, Miguel, Krept and Konan, Future, Disciples, Maverick Sabre as well as platinum-selling artist Craig David who will bring his TS5 show to the set on the second day.

More artist are yet to be announced for the music festival.

Tickets will be on sale on Friday (11.03.16) at 9am.
