Katherine Jenkins will release an album to honour Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday.
The Welsh beauty – who is a lyric mezzo-soprano – has revealed that she is working on the record to celebrate the monarch’s birthday which takes place on April 21.
Speaking of the album, Katherine said: "I suppose it is my birthday gift to Her Majesty!"
The opera singer is also set to sing at Windsor Castle and the Royal Albert Hall and at the Birmingham’s Symphony Hall in June, before releasing the record.
And sharing her experience of singing in front of royalty, Katherine, 35, said: "It doesn’t matter how many times you are asked to sing for Her Majesty, you never ever get blasé about it."
Meanwhile, the blonde stunner has recently become a mother for the first time when she gave birth to daughter Aaliyah last September, by her husband, the filmmaker Andrew Levitas, 38.
And now Katherine has finished her maternity leave, she is delighted to get back to a work on a project to honour the Queen.
She told Hello! Magazine: "I knew I’d be taking maternity leave so it has been exciting knowing this was one of the first things I’d be coming back to."
