Tom Hiddleston is fascinated by the "exterior of people".
The 34-year-old actor has revealed he relishes his job because it allows him to explore the inner-thoughts of different types of people.
He told the Observer newspaper: "I suppose I’m fascinated by the private vulnerability and the exterior of people.
"I think that’s an essential truth. I sort of quite like trying to find what makes people tick behind the construction of their identity."
Tom stars as the American country singer Hank Williams – who died of heart failure at the age of 29 – in his latest movie, ‘I Saw the Light’.
The British star admitted he is "proud" of the movie, in which he was taken out of his comfort zone as a performer.
He added: "I mean, that sounds arrogant. I’m just proud to be in such a … It was so far away from me; it was really not my life experience at all."
Meanwhile, Tom recently admitted he would be keen to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond.
He said: "I did hear recently that he is making another one. And I would never want to usurp or even attempt to usurp Daniel Craig’s place in the James Bond pantheon. But, in an entirely hypothetical situation … Of course it would be … that would be huge … I think I would enjoy the experience."
