Allison Williams is "obsessed" with her engagement ring.
The ‘Girls’ actress can’t stop looking at the diamond jewellery she was presented with last month when Ricky Van Veen asked her to be his wife.
She said: "I’m obsessed with it. I stare at it a lot. We’re thrilled."
The 25-year-old actress also admitted Ricky’s proposal came as a complete surprise.
Speaking to ‘Late Night’ host Seth Meyers, she said: "I was completely surprised, and the funniest thing about that is that I consider myself someone impossible to surprise and yet I am constantly."
Though she is often surprised, the actress says she is often "poised" for a shock – and insists she isn’t disappointed if one doesn’t come along.
She said: "But I walk around the world poised and ready for a surprise.
"On my 25th birthday it was particularly bad. I went to the movies and I opened the movie theatre door and I went, ‘Everyone’s here…that I don’t know. A room full of strangers, got it.’ And then I would walk into a restaurant and be like, ‘Hey…people in the restaurant that I don’t know.’ I guess that definitely could mean that I’m in a constant state of disappointment, but instead it means that I live life one potential surprise to the next."
Allison is a big fan of reality TV show ‘The Bachelor’ and she admits her newly-engaged status has changed her opinion of the contestants.
She said: "Suddenly the show feels real! I understand the stakes for the first time ever, which is so weird because I have empathy, but for some reason it’s never occurred to me, like, ‘They’re getting engaged on this show!’I was filled with anxiety for the contestants."
