Justin Bieber announces UK leg of 2016 Purpose World Tour

Justin Bieber has announced the UK leg of his ‘Purpose World Tour’.

The 21-year-old pop sensation revealed on Wednesday (09.12.15) he will play eight shows in support of his fourth studio album ‘Purpose’, to be held in stadiums across England and Scotland in 2016.

The British dates will follow the North American leg and will kick off at London’s O2 Arena on October 11 next year and conclude in Glasgow’s SSE Arena.

Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase from music-fan app Fahlo from 4pm on Friday (11.12.15) and general tickets will go on sale at 9 am December 17.

Bieber first announced his tour during an appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ back in November, saying: "I’m actually going on tour. This was the only thing I had to remember, and I don’t remember it. You can go to my website. What am I doing? I’m here to promote an album and a tour."

Already the 64 shows in Canada and the US have sold out, and the heartthrob has already released three tracks from ‘Purpose’ – which dropped last month and went to number one in 100 countries – including ‘What Do You Mean’, ‘Sorry’ and ‘Mark My Words’.

And the singer admitted that the latter two songs dealt with his relationship with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Meanwhile, if Bieber’s last trip around the planet is anything to go by, the ‘Purpose World Tour’ is set to be a lucrative venture for him.

The musician’s ‘Believe Tour’ kicked off in 2012, had seven legs, spanned 15 months and featured over 150 concerts dates, and banked a reputed $209.2 million.

Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose World Tour’ 2016 UK dates:

October 11, 2016 London, The O2

October 12, 2016 London, The O2

October 17, 2016 Birmingham, Barclaycard Arena

October 18, 2016 Birmingham, Barclaycard Arena

October 20, 2016 Manchester, Manchester Arena

October 21, 2016 Manchester, Manchester Arena

October 26, 2016 Sheffield, Sheffield Arena

October 27, 2016 Glasgow, The SSE Hydro
