Coldplay announce 2016 tour

Coldplay have announced their 2016 ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ tour.

The British band have revealed they will head out on the road next year with performances across Europe and Latin America, with dates in North America also set to be announced shortly.

The four-piece group will kick off the tour in Buenos Aires in March before travelling through the continent, arriving in Europe in May with two nights at London’s Wembley Stadium in June.

The series of shows will be their first since their ‘Mylo Xyloto Tour’ in 2011/12, having decided not to play many shows following the release of their last album ‘Ghost Stories’.

Frontman Chris Martin said: "I think that not going on tour with ‘Ghost Stories’ was one of the best decisions we ever made, because it gave us such pent-up energy in the studio and completely reignited everyone’s desire to go around the world and play music. ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ was written as a record to be performed live. We can’t wait to do that."

The new record will be released on December 4 and has been preceded by their new single ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’.

Tickets for the European shows go on sale next Friday (27.11.15) at 9.30am GMT for the UK performances, and at 10am CET for all other shows.
