The Rolling Stones are set to begin recording their new album next month.
The iconic rockers haven’t released a new studio record since 2005’s ‘A Bigger Bang’ and guitarist Ronnie Wood has now teased they’re going to start work on an LP imminently.
Speaking to ABC Radio, he explained: "We’ll maybe go in the studio in December and cut a few tracks and see what happens.
"We’ll take it from there, see how it all goes. One thing at a time."
The band – which also features Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts – will embark on a 12-date Latin American tour next year titled ‘América Latina Olé Tour 2016’.
And the update comes just a week after fellow band member Keith said they’d had a "little chat" about new music and would be heading back into the studio next year after the string of tour dates.
He said: "These guys aren’t getting any younger, but at the same time, they’re getting better.
"I’d love to shove them in the studio in April, hot off the road."
Frontman Mick previously said: "It would be very nice and I’ve got a lot of new songs and songs I’ve written over the last couple of years. I’ve done really good demos for all of them, which I would love to record. So, let’s hope so."
