John Legend writes song for unborn baby

John Legend is writing a song for his unborn child.

The ‘All Of Me’ crooner used to think he would never be able to replicate the level of emotion that Stevie Wonder reached in the hit ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ – written for the birth of his daughter, Aisha – but after his wife Chrissy Teigen got pregnant, the singer felt compelled to put pen to paper for his own bundle of joy.

The Sports Illustrated model shared: "A few years ago, a lot of people were writing songs when they got pregnant and he was like, ‘I just don’t feel like I’m gonna be that guy, I’m not gonna write a song. I think (of) Stevie (Wonder) with ‘Isn’t She Lovely,’ I think how can you do any better than that? I’m just not gonna be that guy.

"(Then) yesterday he texted me, like, ‘Writing a song for our baby!’"

Meanwhile, the couple – who plan to raise their child in California – were recently pictured together on a couch while John, 36, rested his hand on his wife’s stomach.

But Chrissy, 29, revealed the sweet photograph took a bit of "staging".

She told FABLife: "I love that photo because it looks so natural, but I’ll tell you how much staging was behind that: it was a lot! There was a table in the background, I was like, ‘We gotta get this table out!’"
