Prince William’s lunch woes

Britain’s Prince William is struggling to keep his lunch fresh after the refrigerator at his air ambulance base broke.

The 33-year-old royal is currently working as a helicopter pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance Service and reportedly takes his own food in because it has no canteen.

But the charity posted an appeal for a new fridge on Twitter after theirs recently broke.

The tweets read: "Oh no! The fridge at our Cambridge base has broken down and needs replacing.

"We’re looking for someone to donate a new standard under-counter fridge.

"Please comment below or email [email protected]."

Father-of-two Prince William has been kept busy in his new role and completed four rescue missions in his first week in July.

William made four potentially life-saving trips during the seven days; firstly to Garboldisham in Norfolk and then Felixstowe in Suffolk, where he rescued a man suffering a heart attack. Later in the week, he attended an incident in Colchester, Essex, whilst another mission saw him head to Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

Before starting the job, William admitted he was "feeling the nerves".

He said: "It’s sort of a follow-on from where I was in the military with my search and rescue role.

"There are many of the same kind of skills and a job like this is very worthwhile, valuable and there’s an element of duty."
