Jacqueline Jossa is returning to ‘EastEnders’.
The 22-year-old actress’ character Lauren Branning fled Albert Square with her boyfriend Peter Beale (Ben Hardy) after they discovered his brother Bobby had killed his sister Lucy and while Ben has quit the soap for good, Jacqueline is reportedly set to make an "explosive" return for Lauren’s dad Max Branning’s upcoming trial.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Max’s trial will be a very exciting storyline and Lauren’s return will be explosive because she knows Max didn’t kill Lucy.
"She agreed not to unmask Bobby as the killer but surely that won’t be at the expense of her own father…"
Lauren’s departure from the BBC One soap came as Jacqueline took maternity leave to welcome her first child with her former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star boyfriend Dan Osborne.
And after giving birth to baby Ella in February, Jacqueline recently filmed her upcoming scenes but will not make a full-time return until the New Year.
However, in addition to having a baby in real life, Jacqueline could be set to return to the square with an on-screen child as well.
Lauren discovered she was pregnant around the same time she found out Peter’s brother had murdered her best friend Lucy and as the couple left for New Zealand, Peter presented her with an adorable "I love London" baby grow.
