Fern Britton doesn’t think it’s "fair" that Kristina Rihanoff has been criticised for her relationship with Ben Cohen.
The 58-year-old star – who struck up a friendship with the professional dancer while appearing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2012 – has jumped to the blonde beauty’s defence following claims the former rugby star cheated on his wife Abby with her.
Fern said: "She’s very nice, a great dancer, and very funny. Had she been a bloke it would have been a case of, ‘Good on him’. It’s unfortunate that because she’s glamorous, exciting and gorgeous she’s going to have this focus on her, have her private life examined as well as her dancing. It’s not fair is it?"
Abby – who has twin daughters with Ben – recently spoke out to insist she doesn’t believe Kristina’s claim that they only got together after they’d announced their split.
However, former ‘This Morning’ host Fern insists the 37-year-old dancer is "a very nice person".
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I like Kristina very much. I worked with her, shared food with her, had a laugh with her, and all I ever saw was a very nice person. She’s incredibly attractive, so I think it’s very easy for blokes to fall in love with her."
